On October 16, 2019, SockStarz was officially ushered into the West Hartford business community with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Among those flooding the storefront at 18 La Salle Road in West Hartford Center were Connecticut's Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, State Senator Derek Slap, Representative Tammy Exum, West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor, and Town Council Member Liam Sweeney.
During the brief ceremony Lt. Governor Bysiewicz praised Harc's vision and the work of their staff and volunteers on the early success of the shop and their pioneering entrepreneurship - all to benefit their larger vision of supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
